Automations without code
Until the published Zapier, Make and n8n apps arrive, you can call the API from each platform's HTTP step with an API key.
The HTTP step
| Platform | Step |
|---|---|
| n8n | HTTP Request node |
| Make | HTTP → Make a request module |
| Zapier | Webhooks by Zapier → Custom Request |
Set:
- URL:
https://app.clearslot.eu/api/v1/..., for example/api/v1/bookings. - Header:
Authorization: Bearer cs_live_YOUR_KEY. In n8n, store it as a *Header Auth* credential rather than in the node. - Header on writes:
Idempotency-Key, from a value that repeats when the platform retries the same run, such as the triggering record's ID. - Body: JSON.
Give the key only the permissions the automation needs, and an IP allowlist if the platform publishes its addresses.
Find or create
- Find a customer:
GET /api/v1/[email protected]. - Create one:
POST /api/v1/customers. If the email already exists you get409 conflictwith the existingresourceId. - Find bookings for a guest:
GET /api/v1/[email protected].
Starting an automation from Clearslot
Use a webhook endpoint for the platform's catch-hook URL; the webhooks guide explains signatures and the optional authentication header. Webhook URLs must use HTTPS on port 443.
Errors
Every error has an English detail you can show as is, for example:
